Who Owns Your Data?

Conference:  RSA Conference 2021

2021-05-17

Abstract

The law of data ownership is far from settled. Google, Facebook, and governments collect petabytes of data without consent or compensation to users. This session will break down real-world examples of data ownership conundrums. It will discuss what current and potential future laws say about data collection and detail what cybersecurity professionals can do to safely use “owned” data.
