Infinitely Scalable Low Cost Federation: Exploring Self-Sovereign Identity

Conference:  RSA Conference 2021

2021-05-17

Abstract

Self-Sovereign Identity upends paradigms for digital identity, creating new possibilities for entities using self-certifying identifiers and never needing a password. It creates a new language for credential exchange so any entity can issue any credential to another entity for any reason and have it readable by any verifier. This session explores possibilities and issues for creating an ecosystem. This session will follow Chatham House Rule to allow for free exchange of information and learning. We look forward to participants actively engaging in the discussion, and remind attendees that no comment attribution or recording of any sort should take place. Pre-Requisites: A good understanding of today's identity management technologies at a conceptual level. An understanding of PKI at a conceptual level. This is a capacity-controlled session. If added to your schedule and your availability changes, please remove this session from your schedule to allow others to participate.
