The speaker shares an anecdote about a security breach caused by a third-party security company hired by Black Hat. In 2019, the company sent out the full security plan in the clear over the Black Hat network, including badge colors, volunteer t-shirt colors, and what they were going to look like. The same company was hired again in 2021 and almost repeated the same mistake, but the speaker intervened and prevented the security plan from being sent in the clear.
